Force of Execution

Steven Seagal's fourth collaboration with director Keoni Waxman, Force of Execution is a gritty, grindhouse-style crime thriller starring Seagal alongside Ving Rhames, Danny Trejo, and Bren Foster. Filmed and set in Albuquerque, the film follows an aging crime boss looking to exit the underworld, only to be challenged by a ruthless rival determined to take his empire by force.

halflife* handled all post-production on the film — picture, sound, and color, start to finish — and David Climaco Garcia ran second unit on several of the film's fight sequences. Critics singled out the choreography as a standout, particularly Bren Foster's work, with more than one review noting the influence of The Raid's tight-corridor combat style — a nice full-circle credit, given halflife*'s hand in both shooting and finishing those very scenes.
